How often should rooftop solar panels be cleaned in India?
Solar panels should be washed every 2 to 4 weeks depending on dust accumulation in your area. Clean panels using soft non-abrasive sponges and clean tap water. Always clean early in the morning (6 AM - 8 AM) or late evening to prevent thermal shock glass cracking.
How does TANGEDCO / EB Bi-Directional Net-Metering work?
A bi-directional net meter tracks both Import kWh (electricity consumed from EB grid) and Export kWh (surplus solar power sent back to EB grid). At the end of each billing cycle, Export units are subtracted from Import units. Any excess export units are carried forward or credited as per state solar policy.
What do the LED status lights on my inverter mean?
Solid Green: System generating solar power normally.
Flashing Yellow: Wi-Fi pairing mode or standby during low sunlight.
Solid Red: Grid trip, high voltage, or insulation fault. If red light stays for over 2 hours, submit a ticket in Customer Portal.
